Census Forms

Census Forms will be mailed to all residents in January. State Law requires that the name, date of birth, occupation and nationality (if not a US Citizen) and address as of January 1st of each year, be obtained for all residents. Forms may be returned by mail in the envelope provided, or dropped off here at Town Hall.

It is important to return these forms, even if there are no changes, failure to do so will result in being removed from the “Active Voter List” and may result in removal from the voter registration rolls. This information is necessary and important to update our voter list and for establishing residency for reduced tuition at state colleges and universities, elderly housing and many veteran benefits. It is also used for school enrollment projections, some capital expenditure projections and accurate population figures are important for state aid reimbursements and governmental representation.

All residents within the household need to be listed, information regarding children, however, is not a public record and will not appear on the street listing, but are important to the count.

Completing this form will not register you to vote, however, a mail in form if requested will be sent to you. You may also register in the office of the Town Clerk or at the RMV. It is asked that all forms be returned quickly, which will save costly follow up calls and remainder notices. Dog Tags On Sale

Dog tags are available at the Office of Town Clerk, all dogs six month of age and older must be licensed. A rabies certificate is necessary to obtain a dog tag. Any dogs not registered by June 1, 2007 will be charged a $20.00 late fee in addition to the price of the licensing. Dog tags can be obtained by mail. Office of Town Clerk phone: 978-346-8013.

Town Stickers Are Available

Residents can purchase town stickers at the Selectmen's office for $5.00 per vehicle. A valid vehicle registration must be presented at the time of purchase. Town stickers grant access to the beach at Indianhead Park and are required for making drop offs at the town yard waste site.
