Regional Information Session for Individuals and Businesses Impacted by 2006 Flood
Purpose: To hear from impacted individuals and businesses about what Massachusetts state government can do to speed their recovery. While FEMA and the Small Business Administration are the two federal government agencies involved in the recovery, our state government is considering a Flood Disaster Assistance Plan to offer additional help to these impacted individuals and businesses.
In attendance will be key state leaders from the Department of Workforce Development (to discuss state disaster unemployment assistance); the Department of Business and Technology; the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation (to discuss the importance of hiring licensed building contractors for reconstruction work); and the SBA. All impacted individuals and businesses are strongly urged to attend.
