Do not ignore your excise tax bill.
The excise tax bill is always due 30 days from the issue date and must be paid on time. Any bill left unpaid will accrue interest, charges and fees. If applying for an abatement, pay the bill first and then apply for the abatement. If your abatement is granted your bill will be pro-rated and a partial refund will be issued. |
